The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced syllabus for newly introduced Joint Entrance Exam (Main) and JEE (Advanced). The move has paved way for students to get admissions in premier Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) and other top engineering colleges across the country.
This success has been due to the autonomy provided to the institutes, their resources and the quality of people who work there. The other big reason is a strong, almost draconian joint entrance exam (JEE) system.
The result of All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) is expected to be announced today. The exam offers admission to prestigious engineering, architectural and many other Govt. funded technical institutions.
The Centre’s proposal for putting in place a common entrance examination for engineering and science has hit a roadblock, reports Economic Times.
