Himachal govt clears 3 projects worth Rs 214.5 cr investment

Himachal govt clears 3 projects worth Rs 214.5 cr investmentThe State level Single Window Clearance and monitoring Authority (SLSWCMA) on Tuesday cleared three more industrial projects with investment worth Rs 214.5 crore and employment potential for 667 persons, reports agency.

The new proposal includes Starch and Liquid Glucose manufacturing unit to be set up by Green Valley Corn Kraft India Private Limited and expansion proposals of Havells India Limited and Ambuja Cements Limited. 

PK Dhumal, Chief Minister, Himachal Pradesh said that efforts should be made to motivate new investors to set up their units away from existing industrial areas which are over congested. The CM assured all basic infrastructural facilities would be provided to the entrepreneurs, moving into interior areas for establishing their units.

Dhumal has directed the officials to implement the provisions of the State Industrial Policy in letter and spirit and ensure that the clause providing for 70% employment to Himachalis in Industrial and power projects was strictly adhered to.

He added that uninterrupted power supply at affordable costs and industrial peace were the two major incentives for the industrialists in the state.
